July 2026 Peer Critique: Submissions Open!

Submission Deadline: by end-of-day Monday, 6/22

Workshop Date: July 2nd, 2026, 6:30 PM – 8 PM

Location: Zoom Only

Please send submissions in PDF form to workshops@ohiowriters.org. You may submit a short story, novel excerpt, essay, poetry, or anything else you'd like feedback on. Please limit your submissions to pieces up to 7,000 words, and include a word count at the top of the document. For novel excerpts, please submit only the first 7000 words, no middle entries. You are welcome to submit the same 7,000 words the following month IF changes have been made to the previously submitted section.

If you have specific feedback questions for our attendees to answer, feel free to include them at the top/bottom of your PDF submission.

We will accept the first 7 submissions. You must be present online to receive feedback, so only submit if you're confident you can attend. You can find the submissions, once we post them, on our File Share page.

If you don’t have a piece but would like to attend, please email us at workshops@ohiowriters.org to let us know. We will make the materials available at least a week before the workshop, and will email the Zoom link on the day of the workshop to those who submit/RSVP.
