Greetings Ohio Writers,
We wanted to let you know about an upcoming call for submissions. We are collecting fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry dealing with the theme of metamorphosis. We are looking for stories about transformation, change, growth, and new beginnings. Our submission window runs May 1, 2022 through May 31, 2022—on our new website, which is now live! It is only $5 to submit, but paying members of the Ohio Writers’ Association may submit one piece for consideration at no charge! For the pieces we choose, we will pay $15 and provide a complimentary paperback copy. We are looking for stories from 1,000 to 10,000 words. If you would like more information about this anthology, please contact us at info@ohiowriters.org
Like with Outcasts, we hope to work with another regional group to produce an audiobook for our anthologies, the Ohio Audiobook Narrators Group to produce a quality audiobook to accompany our print and ebook. There's nothing more rewarding than to hear your writing produced by a professional audio book narrator! Write something new. Polish an old piece. But submit a piece before the end of May!
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions about our upcoming project. We can’t wait to read your submissions!
Hi. I'm a new writer/member. I just submitted a story to to Metamorphosis, in pdf format, but didn't receive an acknowledgement of receipt. Since this is the last day for submission, I'm concerned to learn if AWA got it.
Would an episodic entry have any disadvantage fitting into a collection like this? (episode 1 of a planned series)
Can you tell me if a writer needs to be currently living in Ohio to submit?
