About the event
The Grove City Book Festival is a free, one-day celebration of books, creativity, and community, taking place Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Town Center Park and the Grove City Library. As part of Grove City’s America 250 celebration, the festival highlights Ohio’s rich literary culture with a full day of programming for readers and writers of all ages.
We are currently seeking volunteers to help represent OWA during the festival. Volunteers will assist with welcoming visitors, sharing information about the organization, and helping showcase member work. Attendees can explore a vibrant Bookish Marketplace featuring local vendors, meet authors and writing groups in Author Alley, enjoy food trucks, and participate in a community book swap. The festival also includes workshops, panel discussions, book signings, and live performances such as open mic poetry throughout the day.
