Genre Mixer: A Zoom Networking Event for OWA Writers

Ever wish you could just talk shop with other writers who get what you're working on? Genre Mixer is a virtual networking event designed to connect OWA members with fellow writers in their genre — because sometimes the best critique partner, accountability buddy, or friend is someone wrestling with the same storytelling challenges you are.

Here's how it works: when you register, you'll select a primary genre and a secondary genre from the list below. On the day of the event, we'll open with a brief welcome on Zoom, then send everyone into small breakout rooms grouped by genre to chat, swap experiences, and build connections with writers working in similar spaces. Each room will have a facilitator to keep things moving, and we'll provide genre-specific discussion prompts to spark rich conversation — so no one's stuck wondering what to say.
