About the event

The Columbus Book Festival is a free, two-day celebration of books, writing, and storytelling held in downtown Columbus each summer. Taking place July 11–12, 2026, the festival spans the historic Main Library and nearby Topiary Park, bringing together thousands of readers, writers, and literary organizations from across Ohio and beyond.

We are currently seeking volunteers to help staff our table throughout the weekend. Volunteers will assist with welcoming visitors, sharing information about OWA, and helping promote member work. Click here to sign up for a 2-hour volunteer slot.

For questions about volunteering, please contact info@ohiowriters.org for more information.

Featuring more than 200 national and local authors, the festival offers a wide range of programming including author talks, panel discussions, book signings, and interactive presentations across multiple genres. Visitors can also explore the Festival Marketplace, which includes exhibitors, independent authors, book sales, food vendors, and family-friendly entertainment.
